Data Deletion Policy

This policy explains how client data is handled, archived and permanently removed from DEVTOWN HOSTING systems.

1. Scope

Applies to hosting account data, configuration files, email content stored on our infrastructure, and support ticket records.

2. Deletion Triggers

  • Client cancellation request.
  • Non-payment beyond retention window.
  • Abuse-related termination (immediate sanitisation as required).

3. Retention Windows

  • Suspended accounts: 30 days before purge.
  • Expired domains: registry timelines apply (grace/redemption).
  • Support tickets & invoices: retained per statutory obligations.

4. Backup Handling

Routine backups are rotated. Deleted account data may persist in encrypted backup archives up to 14 days before overwrite.

5. Irreversible Actions

Once purged, recovery is not possible. Clients should request an export before cancellation.

6. Requesting Deletion

Email info@devtownhosting.com from your registered address. We may verify identity for security.

7. Exceptions

Legal holds, payment disputes, fraud investigations, or statutory retention obligations may delay deletion.

8. Third-Party Services

Applications installed by clients (CMS plugins, scripts) remain their responsibility. We cannot delete data stored on external APIs.
