Terms & Conditions

1. Definitions

“Company”, “We”, “Us” refers to DEVTOWN HOSTING, a division of Devtown Technologies. “Client”, “You” refers to any person or entity purchasing or using our services.

2. Account Registration

You agree to provide accurate information during registration and maintain updated contact details. We may suspend accounts with incomplete, fraudulent or unverifiable data.

3. Acceptable Use Policy (AUP)

• No hosting of malware, phishing sites, hate content or illegal material.
• No sending of unsolicited bulk email (spam).
• No resource abuse (CPU, RAM, bandwidth) that impacts server stability.

4. Billing & Payment

Services are billed annually or as otherwise agreed. Failure to renew may result in suspension after 7 days and termination after 30 days. Domains follow registry grace/expiry rules.

5. Data & Backups

We provide routine backups for disaster recovery. However, clients are fully responsible for maintaining independent backups of their data.

6. Suspension & Termination

We may suspend or cancel services for violations of these Terms, non-payment, or abuse of system resources. Critical breaches may result in immediate termination.

7. Domains

Domain registrations are final and non-refundable. You are responsible for timely renewals to avoid loss or redemption penalties.

8. Refund Policy

We offer a 7-day limited refund on first-time shared hosting purchases (excluding domains, SSL, VPS, dedicated servers and add-ons) if uptime or performance are significantly below stated guarantees.

9. Liability

We are not liable for downtime caused by third-party networks, force majeure events, client code, or external attacks beyond mitigation capacity.

10. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms. Continued use after updates constitutes acceptance. The latest version will always be published on this page.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda.
